Alt-Info
“Alt-info” LLC was registered in January 2019 and received a broadcasting license on November 26, 2020. Initially, the owners of “Alt-info” were Shota Martinenko and Tsiala Morgoshia, each holding a 50% share. At the same time, Shota Martinenko held the position of the Director. In March 2022, Martinenko transferred his 50% share to Tsiala Morgoshia, and Tamar Kacharava was appointed as the director. Shortly after, Aleksandre Kardava, the brother of Giorgi Kardava, founder of the pro-Kremlin “Conservative Movement” party, was appointed as the director and became the owner of a 50% share.
“Alt-info” is of a donatory nature, as its only practical source of income is the owner’s (Tsiala Morgoshia) donations. On her part, Tsiala Morgoshia is a shareholder and owner of several businesses. She is the aunt of one of the leaders of the “Conservative Movement”, Konstantine Morgoshia.
In addition, Konstantine Morgoshia is the chairman of the NNLE “Alternative for Georgia.” “Alternative for Georgia” was founded in 2019, and its board members are Zurab Makharadze, Shota Martinenko, Irakli Kizilashvili, and Giorgi Kardava. Tsiala Morgoshia, together with the supporter of “Alt-info”/“Conservative Movement” and blogger Bakar (Beka) Vardosanize, owns “Dedakalaki” LCC. In addition, Tsiala Morgoshia owns the investment group “Konstantine” LTD, whose director is Nino Gozalishvili, Konstantine Morgoshia’s wife. On the other hand, in 2016, Gozalishvili donated 20,000 GEL twice to the pro-Kremlin “Alliance of Patriots of Georgia” party. Besides, 8 LLCs and one charity fund are linked to her name.
Zurab Makharadze, one of the leaders of “Alt-info”, was connected with the ruling “Georgian Dream party” in the past, which is indicated by a number of circumstances. In particular, Makharadze had been preparing TV programs on the pro-government channel POSTV, and had also been publishing articles on the platform “European.ge,'' which is connected to the left wing of the “Georgian Dream.” Not to mention, a photo of Makharadze and Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of the “Georgian Dream” party can also be found on the Facebook page of the “Georgian Dream.”
“Alt-info” pursues an openly pro-Kremlin and anti-Western editorial policy. The hosts of the TV channel often disseminate disinformation. Notably, the founders and presenters of “Alt-info” were among the organizers of the events of July 5, 2021, providing informational and ideological support to the violent demonstration.
The leaders of “Alt-info” founded the “Conservative Movement” party in November 2021. During the presentation, Zurab Makharadze, the then-chairman of the party, stipulated the party’s readiness for a partnership with Russia.
The leaders of the “Conservative Movement” had a long visit to Russia in 2022, during which they held meetings with high-ranking politicians and experts. In October 2022, Konstantine Morgoshia announced that he was moving to Russia for his business activities, although he stated that he did not intend to stop funding “Alt-info” and “Conservative Movement”.
On September 22, 2023, the leaders of the “Conservative Party” and “Alt-info” announced the “establishment of Anti-Maidan”. According to Shota Martinenko, the party would start mobilizing squads, groups, and volunteers “to prevent revolution and organizing of maidan that was being planned in Georgia.”
April 11, 2022 - Tsiala Morgoshia - 50%; Alexandre Kardava - 50%; Director - Alexandre Kardava;
March 23, 2022 - Tsiala Morgoshia - 100%; Director - Tamar Kacharava;

During 2022, the income of "Alt-Info '' amounted to 984,887.65 GEL. In all four quarters, the donation of the owner of the broadcaster, in this case, Tsiala Morgoshia, is almost the only source of income. As for the advertisements, "Alt-Info'' had them only in the first quarter of 2022, which accounted for 2,127.65 GEL of the total income.
The editorial policy of “Alt-Info” is openly pro-Russian and anti-Western, which became more evident after the violent events of July 5, 2021. “Alt-Info” considers aggression as a necessary weapon of political and ideological struggle and calls on citizens to burn the EU flags.
Alexander Dugin, the main ideologist of the Kremlin, founder of the Eurasianist movement, and far-right philosopher, often appeared on the air of “Alt-Info.”
According to the fact-checking platform “Myth Detector,” “Alt-Info” presenters regularly spread anti-Western disinformation. It should be noted that when discussing the current events in Ukraine, the presenters of “Alt-Info” voice statements strongly in support of Russia.
