Tanamgzavri TV was founded in 1991. The TV channel broadcasts in the Telavi Municipality and its vicinity. Tanamgzavri TV owns private/general broadcasting license (B25).
The TV channel is owned by Maria Grishikashvili (40%), Davit Mania (40%) and Enri Kobakhidze (20%). The TV channel changed hands in March 2012 and Zurab Kumsiashvili was replaced by Davit Mania.
According to the report released by Transparency International Georgia, “Davit Mania is the only partner involved in other companies. He owns Nkonsaltingi, a consulting company previously owned by the former Prime Minister, Zurab Nogaideli. Mania also acts as the director of Gruppo Via and M.D. Group. Both companies are fully owned by UNM member of the Parliament, Levan Kardava. Levan Kardava’s wife Maka Mania and Davit Mania are registered on the same address in Sokhumi, which is a strong indication that they are siblings.”
